A fantastic idea!
Looking for a solution so that your children can play the Lego without having to tidy them every time. Also a great idea if you don't want the Lego blocks to lie around the kitchen table..
Why not set up a table like this in the game room or in the basement! That's what Sarah did for her children, but she installed the table in his son's room as he has a big room.
You will find in this gallery, all the steps to DIY this table, simply click on next page at the bottom of the page.
YOU WILL NEED:
-An Ikea table;Ingo ModelItem number 146.300.09: at $69.00 HERE
-2 Ikea binsTrofast ModelItem number 102.525.73 at $4.00 HERE
-A drill bit
-A pencil and an eraser
1) You will first draw the contours of the two plastic bins on the table with a pencil. You should measure at 4 inches from the sides of the table and 5 cm (2.5'') from the top of the table.
Follow the measures listed above the photo.
2) Then with a drill bit, drill holes to be able to enter the jigsaw and make large holes that will serve to put the bins inside.
Make the straightest lines possible, pass sandpaper to soften the wood.
Erase the pencil lines with the eraser.
3) Then spray the layers of paint on the table
The gray panels
4) Once the paint is completely dry, apply the glue to the back of the gray panels and glue them, making sure they're centered on the table.
Your children will always have a place available to play and will never again play on the kitchen table! Much bigger than a small lounge table, they can play all together!
You can add up to 4 chairs around the table. And a lamp between the two bins.
