This "cheeseburger" casserole is loved by everyone... Especially grown-ups! ;-)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 12 oz (340 g) of rotini, uncooked
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cans (14 oz each) of diced tomatoes
- 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard
- 2 cups of cheddar, shredded
- 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp of dried oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of pepper
PREPARATION
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Place the ground beef at the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes. Drain the beef fat.
- Pour the pasta over the beef and spread into an even layer.
- Add the chicken broth, onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Ensure the pasta is just submerged in the liquid, feel free to remove some broth or add a bit of water to achieve this.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and bake for 30 minutes or until the pasta is cooked.
- Serve with lettuce and tomatoes.
