This "cheeseburger" casserole is loved by everyone... Especially grown-ups! ;-)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 12 oz (340 g) of rotini, uncooked
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (14 oz each) of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard
  • 2 cups of cheddar, shredded
  • 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of pepper

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Place the ground beef at the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
  3. Bake for 25 minutes. Drain the beef fat.
  4. Pour the pasta over the beef and spread into an even layer.
  5. Add the chicken broth, onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Ensure the pasta is just submerged in the liquid, feel free to remove some broth or add a bit of water to achieve this.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and bake for 30 minutes or until the pasta is cooked.
  8. Serve with lettuce and tomatoes.
