A pie crust that doesn't require a mixer! 

A delicious flaky crust with a good buttery taste. The secret to this perfect crust is the use of sour cream!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of flour 
  • 1 stick of cold unsalted butter 
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt 
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar 
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the butter and use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into pieces.
  3. Once the flour and butter are well mixed, add the sour cream and mix again.
  4. Form a dough ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. 
  6. Place the dough in a pie dish and fill with your favorite filling.

****Do not pre-bake the crust before filling it.
