A pie crust that doesn't require a mixer!
A delicious flaky crust with a good buttery taste. The secret to this perfect crust is the use of sour cream!
Ingredients
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 stick of cold unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the butter and use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into pieces.
- Once the flour and butter are well mixed, add the sour cream and mix again.
- Form a dough ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thick.
- Place the dough in a pie dish and fill with your favorite filling.
****Do not pre-bake the crust before filling it.
