
Classics never die... just like this old-fashioned apple crisp!
It's the best! A recipe all in simplicity: apples, oats, and brown sugar.
Ingredients
6 apples sliced or in chunks (Gala, Honeycrisp or Cortland)
1 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
3/4 cup of old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of cold butter
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375°F
Place the apple slices in a 9-inch square dish.
In a bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon.
Add the vanilla, then the cold butter, mix with a fork or with your hands.
Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
