A dose of vitamins to make up for the lack of sunshine!
The autumn fruit salad is a recipe full of flavors and vitamins, topped with a fabulous sauce that evokes apple pie. A must for this season! It’s perfect for an afternoon slump at the office or when returning from school.
Moreover, it’s so simple to prepare! We love that!
Ingredients:
For the salad:
2 medium green apples
2 medium red apples
¾ cup (113 g) of dried cranberries
1 cup (300 g) of pecans
1 cup of grapes (40 grapes)
3 medium oranges
1 medium lemon
For the sauce:
1/2 cup (125 ml) of orange juice
1/4 cup (38 g) of white sugar
1/4 teaspoon of apple pie spice
1 lemon zest
1 orange zest

Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Place the pecans on a baking sheet and put them in the oven while it heats. Take them out when you smell their aroma, almost at the same time as when the oven is fully heated. Remove from the oven and let cool.
3. In a small saucepan, mix the orange juice, sugar, apple pie spice, lemon zest, and orange zest.
4. Set the heat to 'medium' and whisk to combine.
5. Bring to a low boil and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
6. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and let cool completely.
7. Core and slice the apples into bite-sized pieces.
8. Toss the apples with the juice of half a lemon to prevent them from browning.
9. Remove the skin from the orange and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
10. In a large bowl, combine the apples, dried cranberries, toasted pecans, grapes, and oranges.
11. Pour the sauce over the fruits and toss to combine.
Enjoy!
