Breakfast, snack, treat!
All moments are well chosen to indulge with maple glazed doughnuts.
Ingredients
- 10 tablespoons of unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups of flour
- 4½ teaspoons of baking powder
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1½ teaspoons of vanilla
- 1 cup of milk
For the glazing:
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 2½ tablespoons of milk
- 3½ tablespoons of maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ¾ cup of chopped pecans

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f and grease a doughnut pan.
- With an electric mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar, then incorporate the eggs
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Add the flour in 3 stages, mix between each addition and add the vanilla.
- Slowly add the milk until the batter is smooth.
- Evenly distribute the doughnut batter in the pan.
- Bake for 13 minutes.
Glazing:
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, syrup, and vanilla.
- With a spatula, mix the powdered sugar well.
- If necessary, heat in the microwave for 10 seconds.
- Cover the doughnuts with glazing and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
