All moments are well chosen to indulge with maple glazed doughnuts.

Ingredients

  • 10 tablespoons of unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 4½ teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1½ teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1 cup of milk

For the glazing: 

  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 2½ tablespoons of milk
  • 3½ tablespoons of maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup of chopped pecans

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar, then incorporate the eggs
  3. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves.
  4. Add the flour in 3 stages, mix between each addition and add the vanilla.
  5. Slowly add the milk until the batter is smooth.
  6. Evenly distribute the doughnut batter in the pan.
  7. Bake for 13 minutes.

Glazing:

  1. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, syrup, and vanilla.
  2. With a spatula, mix the powdered sugar well.
  3. If necessary, heat in the microwave for 10 seconds.
  4. Cover the doughnuts with glazing and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
