A good soup that tastes like it used to!
It's simple, it's not super appetizing, but it's really good!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 of a cabbage
- 1 can (796 ml) of diced tomatoes
- 6 cups of chicken broth
- 3 onions, diced
- 1 clove of crushed garlic
- 1 tsp of butter or oil
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of pepper
- 1/2 tsp of basil
Preparation
Cut the cabbage into strips, transfer to a strainer and rinse with water.
In a large pot, melt the butter and brown the onions over medium heat. Add the garlic, can of tomatoes, and basil. Let simmer for 15 minutes, then add the chicken broth and stir.
Continue cooking for a few more minutes, then add the cabbage. Let simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
