A favorite for this carrot cream that is out of the ordinary!
We often wonder how we could cook turnip differently... Well, look no further! Combined with carrot and maple syrup, it's pure bliss for your taste buds.
Ingredients:
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon of oil
1 leek (white part only), chopped
3 carrots, peeled and sliced
1 turnip, peeled and chopped
4 cups of chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of cardamom
Salt, pepper
3 tablespoons of maple syrup
1/2 cup of 15% country-style cream

Preparation
In a pot, sauté the onion in oil.
Add the carrots, turnip, leek, and chicken broth.
Bring to a boil, then let simmer for 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
Add the nutmeg, cardamom, salt, and pepper.
In a blender, puree the mixture.
Return the soup to the pot, add the maple syrup and cream.
