The kids play soccer and you don't have time to cook a meal that takes too long? This recipe is the perfect meal to avoid getting fast food dinner and your family will prefer this stir fry over fast food.
An easy meal for a busy weeknight!
Ingredients
- 1 pound of chicken breast cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
- 2 cups of broccoli
- 1 cup of mushrooms
- 2 teaspoons of fresh chopped ginger
- 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
- 1/4 cup of oyster sauce
- 1/4 cup of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a pan, heat 1 teaspoon of oil.
- Add the broccoli and mushrooms and cook for 4 minutes.
- Add the ginger and garlic, cook for an additional 30 seconds. Set aside the vegetables.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of oil and brown the chicken seasoned with salt and pepper for about 4 minutes on each side.
- Return the vegetables to the pan.
- In a bowl, whisk the oyster sauce, chicken broth, sugar, sesame oil, and soy sauce.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with one tablespoon of cold water.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the pan, cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the cornstarch and bring to a boil.
- Let it thicken for a few minutes.
- Serve with rice.
