Spring break is coming to an end and many of you will return to routine this week. That means you'll need original recipes that are simple and quick to make that will please your whole family.
A dish that requires only 30 minutes of cooking and a few minutes of preparation, it's hard to find a simpler dish. Moreover, this chicken casserole overflows with flavors that will delight the whole family.
A winning recipe all the way!
Ingredients
● 8 pieces of chicken, boneless
● 1 onion, sliced
● 4 tablespoons of butter, divided
● 4 cloves of garlic
● 1/4 cup of brown sugar
● 1 tablespoon of honey
● 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
● 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
● 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
● Salt and pepper
Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees f and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the chicken and cook for 2 minutes on each side.
3. Transfer the chicken to the baking dish and add the onion slices on top.
4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
5. Add the garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
6. Add the brown sugar, honey, oregano, thyme, and basil.
7. Pour over the chicken and onion.
8. Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
