In Brazil, shrimp is consumed in various ways, more or less traditionally depending on the case. Many fresh seafood and fish are also consumed there.
The following recipe comes from Brazil, but it is prepared in a more common manner, in a dish that combines pasta, shrimp, and a creamy sauce well-seasoned with fresh herbs.
This dish is made quickly, easily, and is suitable for weeknight dinners.

4 tablespoons (60 ml) of butter 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of thyme 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of rosemary 300 g of shrimp, peeled and deveined 3 tablespoons (45 ml) of flour 750 ml of warm milk ½ onion, chopped 1 cup (250 ml) of parsley ½ cup (125 ml) of green onions Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of nutmeg ½ lime, juiced 10.5 oz (300 g) of cooked pasta
Preparation
In a large saucepan, start to melt the butter. Then add the thyme and rosemary, and stir.

When the mixture bubbles, add the shrimp in a single layer.
Cook them in the pan for about 3 minutes. Then, remove them from the pan and set them aside, keeping them warm if possible.

Do not clean the pan. Add the flour to the pan and stir until the mixture lightly browns.

Slowly pour the warm milk in several additions, stirring between each addition.
Add the chopped green onions, salt, pepper, and freshly grated nutmeg. Continue to cook for 5 minutes.

Next, add the fresh parsley and chopped green onions.

Use a hand blender to mix the ingredients well.
Cook until the sauce bubbles, then turn off the heat. Add the lime juice and the shrimp.
Add the pasta and mix all the ingredients well to coat them with sauce.

Serve immediately.
