Divine "sticky chicken"

Delicious chicken drumsticks coated with a sticky soy and honey glaze that can be cooked in the oven or on the barbecue!

In summer, the BBQ is a star, and we love to vary our meals on the grill. These delicious sticky chicken drumsticks are perfect for this cooking style, although you can also pop them in the oven on rainy days. Enjoy them on the patio or in front of a good game on TV!

Ingredients:

8 chicken drumsticks

2 tablespoons (30 ml) of soy sauce

1 tablespoon (15 ml) of honey

1 tablespoon (15 ml) of olive oil

1 teaspoon (5 ml) of tomato paste

1 tablespoon (15 ml) of Dijon mustard

Preparation:

1. Make 3 slashes on each chicken drumstick.

2. Mix the soy sauce, honey, oil, tomato paste, and mustard.

3. Pour this mixture over the chicken and coat thoroughly. Let marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature or overnight in the refrigerator.

4. Preheat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6.

5. Place the chicken in a shallow roasting tin and cook for 35 minutes, turning the chicken occasionally, until it is tender and glossy with marinade.

Note: This marinade is also perfect for pork. It makes superb ribs, among other things!
