Only simple and affordable ingredients, quick to prepare, a sauté that we love to make and remake.

Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon + 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 pound beef strips
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (yellow, red, and green, your choice)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • fresh cilantro
  • serve with rice

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, add the steak, salt, pepper, and the remaining cornstarch.
  3. In a wok, heat the oil and add the steak, cooking for about 2 minutes.
  4. Set the meat aside, then add the onion, peppers, garlic, and ginger.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the steak back and cook for one more minute.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the meat, allow the sauce to thicken for a few minutes.
  7. Serve with a bit of cilantro
