This is a must for summer!
These bites inspired by the classic burger are perfect for a summer garden party. A guaranteed hit!
Ingredients:
1 pound (454 g) of ground beef
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of ketchup
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of olive oil
4 slices of American cheese
28 slices of dill pickles
14 slices of plum tomatoes
14 small leaves of lettuce
Preparation:
1. Shape the ground beef into 1½-inch patties (for a total of about 14) and sprinkle with salt.
2. In a small bowl, mix the ketchup and mayonnaise.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
4. Cook the patties in batches for 2 minutes on each side.
(Top each patty with a small slice of cheese after flipping the patties).
5. Thread the patties onto skewers with the dill pickle slices, tomato slices, and lettuce. Serve with the ketchup-mayonnaise mix.
