Oops, did your bag melt on a hot burner again?

I'm sure this has happened to you before... No? Personally, it has happened to me and still does from time to time.

I know I shouldn't use my glass ceramic stove as a countertop, but I can't help myself, I always put lots of food and utensils on it.

It happened to me the other morning: I was cooking myself some gruel for breakfast and when I wanted to make toast, I didn't think about it and put my bread bag on the burner that was still hot.

Oops! The bag, of course, melted and stuck to the glass ceramic.

Here is the method to remove the melted plastic without damaging your glass ceramic cooktop:

  • First thing, let the burner cool completely before starting the cleaning.
  • Then, spread a good amount of baking soda over the melted plastic.
  • Spray white vinegar and use a scouring sponge to start scrubbing the burned plastic.
  • Rinse with clear water and use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the stove.

Impeccable result, guaranteed!
