These ham and cheese rolls are incredibly delicious, perfect for both lunch and dinner. They offer a comforting taste appreciated in autumn, and both kids and adults will love them.

The combination of ham and cheese is always a winner, and in a croissant dough, it’s even better. Don’t forget the touch of Dijon mustard! Step out of the routine of the classic ham and cheese sandwich for lunch at school or the office!

Without further ado, here's how to prepare them!

Ingredients:

1 tube of croissant dough (like Pillsbury)

20 – 22 slices of Black Forest ham (or similar) finely sliced

12 slices of Swiss cheese finely sliced

1/2 cup (125 g) of melted butter

1 tablespoon (15 ml) of poppy seeds

2 teaspoons (10 ml) of Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F (176°C) and spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or grease with butter.

2. Open the tube of croissant dough and roll it out with the longer side down (rectangle). Pinch the seams and slightly press the dough a little thinner, about 10 x 13.

3. Place 6 slices of Swiss cheese on the dough, leaving a 1/4-inch margin around the edges.

4. Top with ham (fold the slices if necessary) then place the rest of the cheese slices over the ham.

5. Roll the dough, starting from the longer side, as tightly as possible, pinching the ends to seal.

6. Cut into 18 pieces.

7. Carefully place the rolls in the dish, leaving spaces between each, ensuring to pinch any seams that may have separated.

8. In a bowl, mix the butter, poppy seeds, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.

9. Pour this mixture evenly over the rolls.

10. Bake in the oven, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes until the rolls are golden brown.

11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before removing from the dish.

Enjoy your meal!
