Want to cook your pork tenderloin differently? Try this marinade, it's perfect!
Ingredients
- 2 minced shallots
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
- 1/4 cup (65 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients,
- Place the pork tenderloins in a large Ziploc bag and add the marinade. Massage the tenderloin and transfer to the fridge.
- Let marinate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F
- In a large skillet, heat a few tablespoons of oil. Sear the tenderloins for a minute or two on each side.
- Pour the marinade over the meat, let simmer for about a minute.
- Transfer the tenderloins to a large baking dish, pour the marinade over them, and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, remove the foil and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 145 degrees F.
- Remove your tenderloins from the oven and let them rest for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Slice and serve.
