Maple and Balsamic Vinegar Pork Tenderloin

Want to cook your pork tenderloin differently? Try this marinade, it's perfect!

Ingredients

  • 2 minced shallots
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup (65 ml) balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper


Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients,
  2. Place the pork tenderloins in a large Ziploc bag and add the marinade. Massage the tenderloin and transfer to the fridge.
  3. Let marinate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F
  5. In a large skillet, heat a few tablespoons of oil. Sear the tenderloins for a minute or two on each side.
  6. Pour the marinade over the meat, let simmer for about a minute.
  7. Transfer the tenderloins to a large baking dish, pour the marinade over them, and cover with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 145 degrees F.
  10. Remove your tenderloins from the oven and let them rest for 3 to 5 minutes.
  11. Slice and serve.
