A true delight that takes only 30 minutes to cook
When I order Asian dishes, I always ask for 2 servings of General Tao Chicken because I love the flavors of this spicy and crispy poultry.
Since I discovered this recipe with maple syrup, I can't eat it at the restaurant anymore! This delicious version is a true favorite.

Coat the chicken cubes with cornstarch.
In a large bowl, mix the eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt. Coat the chicken by placing it in the bowl.
In a skillet, heat the oil over high heat and add the chicken.
Fry the chicken for 10 minutes, stirring regularly. The chicken should be golden brown on the outside and no longer pink on the inside.
Remove the chicken from the heat. Prepare the sauce.
In a saucepan, mix the sesame oil, ginger, and green onions and cook for 3 minutes over medium-high heat.
Add the water and maple syrup, then let simmer for 1 minute.
In a bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the soy sauce and chili sauce. Pour the mixture into the saucepan. Cook for an additional 2 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
Add the chicken to the sauce and serve with a side of your choice.
