A quick and easy favorite.
When I order Asian food, I always ask for 2 dishes of General Tao chicken because I love the flavors of this spicy and crispy poultry.
Since I discovered this recipe with maple syrup, it's impossible to want to eat it at the restaurant! This delicious version is a true favorite.

Sauce
Preparation
Coat the chicken cubes in cornstarch.
In a large bowl, mix the eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt. Coat the chicken by placing it in the bowl.
In a skillet, heat the oil over high heat and add the chicken.
Fry the chicken for 10 minutes, stirring regularly. The chicken should be golden on the outside and no longer pink on the inside.
Remove the chicken from the heat. Prepare the sauce.
In a saucepan, mix the sesame oil, ginger, and green onions and cook for 3 minutes over medium-high heat.
Add the water and maple syrup, then let simmer for 1 minute.
In a bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the soy sauce and chili sauce. Pour the mixture into the saucepan. Cook for an additional 2 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
Add the chicken to the sauce and serve with a side dish of your choice.
