With a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it's heaven!

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds of Cortland or Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced

¼ cup of pulp-free orange juice

¼ cup of sugar

¼ cup of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

1 ½ cups of flour

¾ cup of sugar

¾ cup of brown sugar

½ teaspoon of salt

1 cup of oats

½ pound of unsalted butter, cold and diced

PREPARATION

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  • Place the apple cubes in a bowl and add orange juice, ¼ cup of sugar, ¼ cup of brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • To make the crumble, put flour, ¾ cup of sugar, ¾ cup of brown sugar, salt, oats, and butter into a mixing bowl and pulse.
  • Place the apple mixture in the baking dish and pour the crumble over it.
  • Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until the crumble is golden brown.

Serve warm with ice cream, yum!
