
Let's be honest... a gumbo bun is good any time!
A classic is a classic! Why wait until December to treat yourself! I suggest Nancy's little gumbo buns!
Ingredients
1 pound of ground beef
1 pound of ground pork
2 cans of Campbell's chicken gumbo soup
½ cup of ketchup
3 tbsp of mustard
2 stalks of celery diced
½ finely chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic minced
2 tbsp of oil
24 small salad rolls

Preparation
In a large skillet, heat the oil, sauté the onion, garlic, and celery for a few minutes.
Add the ground meat and continue cooking until the meat is cooked. Add the ketchup, mustard, and gumbo soup. Stir well.
Let simmer, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is well reduced (about 20 to 30 minutes).
Cut the salad rolls ¾ of the way through and stuff with the meat mixture.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and heat the stuffed buns for about 5 minutes.
