If you like to vary your pasta dishes and you're a bit tired of spaghetti with meat sauce, here is a recipe that will be a nice change. 

Fresh and grilled shrimp in a pan are a great choice to enhance a plate of linguini!

And you'll see, this recipe is not complicated at all.


Ingredients

  • 250 g of linguini
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1 lbs of peeled medium shrimp
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes, or more, to taste
  • 1/4 cup of white wine 
  • 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parmesan, grated


Preparation

  1. In a pot of salted water, first cook the linguine pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  2. In a pan, melt the butter. Add the shrimp, garlic and red pepper flakes.
  3. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the white wine, lemon juice, a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil. Remove from heat.



7. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the pan with the lemon zest and parsley.

8. Top with parmesan cheese and enjoy.
