This cream cheese frosting recipe will turn your cakes into true delights!

Simplistic and quick!

INGREDIENTS:

8 ounces (230 grams) of cream cheese, at room temperature

1/3 cup (75 grams) of softened butter

3 to 3 ½ cups (450 to 525 grams) of powdered sugar

1 teaspoon (5 ml) of vanilla extract or lemon juice

1 ½ teaspoons (8 ml) of lemon zest (optional)

 

PREPARATION:

Combine cream cheese and butter with a mixer on medium speed, until whipped and light in texture.

Add lemon juice (and zest if desired).

Add the powdered sugar gradually, until a light texture is achieved. Do not overbeat.
