This fried rice is even better than any of your favorite restaurants... The secret? It's the ham!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups of peas
- 1½ cups of carrots, diced
- 2 cups of ham, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups of cooked and cooled rice
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- ⅓ cup of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon of sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1 pinch of crushed red pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped
Preparation
- In a large skillet, cook the carrots and peas. Set aside
- In a small saucepan, heat some oil.
- In a small bowl, beat the eggs and add them to the skillet, cook the egg, turning it regularly. Remove the egg and chop it.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sugar, ginger, and crushed red pepper.
- In a large pot, add the rice and oil, once the rice is sizzling, add the sauce mixture, then the eggs, ham, carrots, and peas.
- Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.
