Ingredients
1 white onion diced
6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) of butter
2 14.5-ounce cans of diced tomatoes
46 ounces of tomato juice
3 to 6 tablespoons (45 ml) of sugar
2 tablespoons (30 ml) of chicken base
Black pepper
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) of cream
1/4 cup (65 ml) of fresh basil
1/4 cup (65 ml) of flat-leaf parsley
Preparation
1-In a large pot, melt the butter and add the onion, cook until transparent.
2-Add the diced tomatoes, tomato juice, and 3 to 6 tbsp of sugar.
3-Then add 2 tablespoons of chicken base.
4-Add black pepper to taste. Stir to combine, then bring to a boil. Then turn off the heat.
5-Stir in the cream. Add the basil and parsley.
