Bacon baked in the oven, it's so simple! A no-mess and no-splatter technique! A crispy and evenly cooked result.
The secret is to place a baking rack, like the one from your roasting pan for example. You just need to place it on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Preheat your oven to 400°F or 205°C. Place your rack in the lower third of the oven and heat it to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. To bake two sheets of bacon at once, place the other rack in the upper third of the oven.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place your rack on top.
Lay the bacon in a single layer without overlapping the slices.
Bake the bacon in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the bacon. Start checking after 12 minutes.
The bacon grease will heat up and bubble, but don't worry, it shouldn't splatter.
Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels and blot it.

Note: you can also refrigerate the rest of the bacon for up to a week or freeze it for up to 3 months. Reheat the bacon in the microwave before serving.
