- 1-2 large onions, sliced (about 3 cups)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup apple cider
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce

- 2 - 3 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water

- Be sure to scrape up the golden bits from the bottom of the pan. Pour the cooking liquid and onions over the pork chops in the slow cooker.
- Cook for 4 to 5 hours on low or 2 to 3 hours on high intensity.
- Remove the cooked pork chops from the slow cooker and place them on a plate.
- Whisk the cornstarch and water mixture into the cooking liquid.
- Return the chops to the slow cooker and cook until the sauce is thick and the chops are tender, about 30 to 60 minutes on high intensity.
