A delicious maple syrup pie... hard to resist.
Moreover, this one can be made quickly... and devoured even faster.
Ingredients
1 pre-cooked pie crust
1 cup (250 g) of 35% cream
3/4 cup (210 g) of maple syrup
3/4 cup (150 g) of brown sugar
4 tbsp (40 g) of cornstarch
4 tbsp (60 g) of cold water
1 tbsp (17 g) of butter
Preparation
In a saucepan, bring cream, maple syrup, and brown sugar to a boil.
In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in water, and pour into the boiling maple syrup mixture, whisking until thickened.
Remove the saucepan from heat and add the butter. Whisk again.
Allow to cool for 10 to 15 minutes and pour into the pre-cooked pie crust.
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.
