Are your children in too much of a hurry to go to play in the morning and are reluctant to eat breakfast? Or yourself, don't have a great appetite and time in the morning?

What if, on hot summer mornings, you cool off with .. popsicles?

Healthy pops, which will give you the same nutrients as a classic breakfast, in a more fun and practical presentation!

1. Smoothie popsicles

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups (375 g) of frozen fruit of your choice (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, mangoes, bananas ...)
  • 1 cup (250 mL) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup (250 mL) coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup (160 g) homemade granola

Preparation

1. Mix the yogurt, coconut milk, vanilla and maple syrup in a food processor. Add 1/3 cup of fruit.

2. In popsicle molds, pour a generous spoonful of yogurt. Add the granola, then the fruits, Repeat the layers (yogurt, fruits, granola.).

3. Place in the freezer for at least 6 hours, or overnight. Enjoy!

2. Strawberry popsicles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup (250 g) sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup (65 mL) almond milk (or other milk)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup (180 g) granola

Preparation

1. With a blender, on high speed, combine the yogurt, sliced strawberries, almond milk and lemon juice for about 1 minute.

2. Divide mixture into popsicle molds, each about half full, and freeze for 1 hour.

3. Remove the popsicles from the freezer and add a layer of granola to each, leaving some room on top.

4. Add yogurt to fill the remaining space in each of the molds.

5. Return to freezer for at least 6 hours.

3. Fruit and chia seed pops

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) of honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons (45 g) chia seed
  • 1/4 cup (65 g) fresh blueberries
  • 2 medium kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup (180 g) sliced strawberries

Preparation

1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, honey, milk and chia seeds.

2. Arrange the fruit in popsicle molds.

3. Fill the molds with the yogurt mixture and freeze for at least 4 hours.

4. Tropical popsicle

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) coconut milk
  • 2 cups (500 g) frozen bananas
  • 1 cup (250 mL) chopped mango
  • 1 cup (250 mL) chopped pineapple
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) cashews
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) mixed seeds
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons (15-30 ml) of honey to taste
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lime juice (optional)
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of honey
  • 4 passion fruit pulps

Preparation

1. Combine all ingredients (except honey and yogurt and passion fruit) until smooth.

2. Combine Greek yogurt and honey.

3. Layer of the tropical smoothie and Greek yogurt in popsicle molds.

4. Put in the freezer for at least 4 hours.
