For a spectacular decoration, do like this woman and remove all the slats from a horizontal blind!
Bigger than the three of us

Did you know that retrieving slats from horizontal blinds you no longer want, you could create a unique and spectacular decoration?

The slats will simply serve to decorate a mirror to give it the appearance of a big sun.

The slats were painted and then glued to the back of a simple mirror: it takes a lot of manipulations to fix the slats of 5 blinds, but the result is really worth it.

Begin by cutting all the blind strings to release all the slats. If the slats are dirty, wash them immediately. If you want to paint them, it's also time to do it.

Place the slats 2 by 2, the curved side outward: when you look at them, you should see an opening in the middle.

Attach 5 pairs of slats with tape and play with the length of the slats so that they are not all equal.

Keep 3 sets longer than the others (retained by duct tape), and cut off any excess with pliers.

Put your round mirror upside down and glue a board of wood of the same size to solidify the whole and glue the slats with hot glue.

Glue them all around the mirror with hot glue.

Wait until it dries and put hot glue wherever it is needed so that your slats do not move.

Add a solid hook to hang your beautiful mirror on the wall. [pub]
