Tiny homes are becoming more and more popular all around the world. Photos of these unusual houses abound on the internet.

Aaron Richard Maret is an American architect, designer and blogger from North Carolina.

One of her latest creations "Pocket Shelter" is buzzing around the Internet.

When we discover what's inside, it all makes sense.

Covering 200 square feet, the "Pocket Shelter" was designed by Aaron with the help of her companion. They both has their 2 year old son in mind when they designed the house they live in now.

To say the least, the exterior of the house on wheels is quite rustic with its metal roof.

At the back of the house, there is a mud room, which is actually a place to store dirty shoes and coats.

But the interior of the house holds some surprises.

Both elegant and cozy, the interior is simply sublime.

"This tiny house on wheels is a summation of resourceful design, attentive craftsmanship with attention to detail and a large dose of patience. Five years of design is the fruit of love and an the alternative design of a home construction and an alternative lifestylesays Aaron Maret on her website.

The furniture is multi-functional for the most part. For example, the sofa is not only comfortable, it also includes drawers and storage space.

The kitchen countertops were entirely made of wood. That's wonderful!

On one side of the kitchen there are hot-plates, a mini-fridge and drawers. On the other side, there are additional storage spaces and a sink covered by a wooden plate that provides extra work space.

The toilets were also designed in wood! They can be hidden behind a wooden plate when they are not being used.

To access the sleeping area, there is a wooden ladder.

The space is located in the roof and is surrounded by two planks of wood. There is also a small window to let in some natural light.

From there, we have a nice view of the rest of this house, a home like no other.

"Living in such a small space is a challenge. It's as hard to learn as building a space of this size. It's difficult but it was worth it. What you need is to be content with the essentials and let go of anything not required"adds Aaron Maret.

An incredible place!
