How often should we wash our sheets and bath mats?

Our busy schedules often make us neglect the maintenance of the house or we have to call for a housekeeper. But do you do you wash and change bed linen at the proper frequency?

We sometimes wonder how often should we wash or change our everyday items at home.

To avoid bacteria, some things need to be washed much more often than we imagine!

It is recommended to wash the sheets every 7 days. Because the skin is in direct contact with the fabric that can be a source of dust mites, dead skin cells, animal hair and other unwanted debris, it is best not to exceed 1 week !

The duvets they do not touch the skin directly. They can be washed once a month without any problem.

Finally, bedspreads should be cleaned once a season.

Like the sheets, pajamas should not be worn for more than one week since they are in direct contact with the skin.

The towels should ideally be changed every 4 days.

In certain situations, they may need to be changed more regularly, for example, if we use the towel for physical exercise.

For hygiene reasons and to avoid oral infections, it is important to change your toothbrush every 3 months. And rinse well after each brushing !

The bath sponges must be changed much more regularly than you think ! Change them or clean them every week to prevent them from being full of germs !

The tea towels and kitchen towels should be cleaned weekly, unless you are really dirty. Wash them more frequently in this case.
