A cottage from the 1700s!

Located in the UK, on a tiny little island, is the small cottage of your dreams. Ripped straight from the pages of a fairy tale, the historic structure was built in the 1700s and was formerly used as a storeroom for a mill.

The building has been renovated and can even be rented on the website, Unique Home Stays.

The cottage is on a triangular shaped island surrounded by sycamore trees and streams on each side. It really looks like a fairy tale's tiny house!

Take a look and tell us; too rustic or just perfect?

Good visit!

Living room

The romantic little house can only be accessed via a bridge that is wide enough for one car only. Moreover, since you are the only ones on the island, you will have a little slice of heaven all to yourself !

The interior of the cottage is beautifully decorated with rustic elements and luxurious touches.

Great room

People enter directly into the big room of the cottage. The living area features a comfortable sofa and armchair, as well as a woodstove; the perfect space to relax or enjoy good conversation with friends. The tall vaulted ceilings make the space feel open and large.

The seating area is in the same big room as the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a small dining area.

The kitchen

The wooden beams and corrugated galvanized metal give the chalet a good industrial style. Recycled materials were used to decorate the entire house, including rusty buckets used as light fixtures. Original, right?

Bedroom

Through a door to the left of the kitchen, you enter the house's bedroom.

This bedroom is simple, modest and humble. It has a bed with minimal decor and furnishings; the bright British flag bedspread gives the room a playful pop of color. A rod hangs near the bed to store clothes, and a ladder gives access to an attic for additional storage. A sliding farmhouse door gives access to the bathroom of the house and is also an excellent choice when it comes to saving space.

Terrace

We end the visit with the small terrace; a wonderful place to take a good coffee in the morning. And? What do you think of this cottage for rent? Is it too rustic or just perfect?

Do not hesitate to leave me your comments, I like to read them; whether you like the cottage or not, everyone has different tastes. Have a good day!
