We do not wish you any misfortune, but the freezing rain, the snow and the frost will be part of our daily life very soon so instead of waiting to be caught off guard, why not planning in advance.

But instead of spending on de-icing salts that pollute the environment, opt for this simple, economical and efficient homemade trick.

You already have all the ingredients you need at home - so you'll always be able to de-ice your steps and sidewalks when the time comes.

TO MAKE YOUR EXPRESS DE-ICER, THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1/4 gallon of warm water
  • 3 drops of dish detergent
  • 1 ounce of rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine the 3 ingredients and pour into a big empty container.
  • Pour the mixture on the surfaces to be de-iced.
  • The ice will melt in minutes.

Keep this recipe in mind ... It's simple and it works!

By the way, it's not re-icing, thanks to rubbing alcohol :)
