As the month of August comes to an end, Netflix took the opportunity to announce a big surprise to several of its subscribers, reports Le Sac de Chips.
While Netflix is known to be one of the giants of streaming platforms, the American company offered DVD rentals by mail when it first started in 1997.
In April 2023, the company announced that it would be ending this service. This news was not at all appreciated by the first hour subscribers.
That's why Netflix wanted to make a gesture.
"We won't charge for any undelivered discs after 09/29. Enjoy your last shipments for as long as you want!" Netflix announced on X, formerly Twitter.
To top it all off, Le Sac de Chips indicates that users of DVD rentals by mail will be able to receive up to 10 DVDs for free.
"If you're a DVD Netflix subscriber, you can participate and have a chance to receive up to 10 additional discs on the last day of the service. Just visit https://dvd.com/FinaleSurprise to sign up! It's not guaranteed, but it's worth a try!" reads a tweet.
Probably a comforting news for those disappointed by the end of DVD rentals by mail.
