The famous sportswear and footwear brand Nike recently sued the creative studio MSCHF, which collaborated with rapper Lil Nas X to create "satanic" shoes by hijacking one of its shoe models, the famous Nike Air Max 97.

Even though, usually, the company encourages designers everywhere to hijack its models in order to personalize them and thus create original collector's items, this idea of satanic shoes is the drop (of blood) too many.

MSCHF is known for its controversial and viral products, but this time the devilish details of the shoes don't get through.

On the shoes in question, we see a pentagram on the laces and the word "Luke 10:18" on the side, which is a reference to a Bible verse about Satan's fall from heaven.

Even more disturbing to many people, 666 copies of these shoes (which also carry this number) contain red ink in the sole, to which a real drop of blood has been mixed.

These Satan Shoes are priced at $1,018 and they are already out of stock as they sold out shortly after being released on Monday.

Their provocative side has, of course, captured the attention of the media and social networks. Opinions differ on them, while some see it only as a good marketing stunt, others see it as a sign of decadence...

Nike sues the MSCHF studio in federal civil court in Brooklyn, for infringement over the 'Satan Shoes'. The company is demanding the suspension of the delivery of the shoes in addition to paying for damages (the amount of which has not been made public).

In the past, the same studio created the Jesus sneakers, which incorporate the water of the Jordan to give the impression of walking on water! This model did not disturb Nike, however.
