St. Nicholas Church

Buying a new home can be a big step in someone's life. However, there is nothing more breathtaking than buying a property ... to renovate it completely!

This is what a couple did with the church of St. Nicholas, in Kyloe, in the north of England.

The building dating from 1790 had been left in very bad condition, because nobody had maintained it.

The Laowl website reports that the couple who took over the building decided to buy it to completely renovate it in order to live there. They have restored the vaulted ceilings and the original stained glass windows. However, they have renovated the structure of the church to bring a touch of modernity.

The exterior of the church has remained intact, to preserve the original character. However, the couple changed most of the furniture, and also built a staircase, according to the Telegraph.

The couple was right to renovate this church, because it also includes a large garden where they can rest during the sunny days!
