Living in a seaside cottage sounds like a fairytale, but could you imagine staying in a historic cottage renovated and specially designed for you?

It sounds too good to be true, right? Well, you can't live all the year in this little cottage called The Cable Hut, but you can definitely stay there for a week or two!

Overlooking the ocean in South Wales is this quaint, historic cottage for rent. The outside is really simple, but when you step inside, you will be pleasantly surprised by its warm interior.

Have a good visit!

Its history

The small cottage was originally built to keep phone lines in the same place when they were first installed across the Atlantic. But now it's a vacation home that you can rent on the website Unique Homestays.

The small cottage is located on the coast of Pembrokeshire, UK. The landscape is incredibly beautiful.

The kitchen

As you can imagine, this cottage is over a century old, but the inside has been completely modernized without losing its rustic charm. The white walls bring a nice contrast with the hardwood floors of the house.

The kitchen again

The beautiful wood countertops match the hardwood floors and beams of the rest of the house. The kitchen has a large farmhouse sink, an induction stove, a large oven and open shelvings for storage.

Bedroom

Located in the iron shed part of the house, there is the large bedroom. Its walls made of wooden planks with a high vaulted ceiling and beautiful dark beams provide a beautiful contrast with the neutral surrounding colors.

The bedroom has a big cast iron bed, a closet and a large window to let in natural light.

The living room

In front of the bed is the sitting area, comfortable and nice! Relax to sound of the waves crashing against the rocks or open the windows to let in the cool breeze of the ocean.

Bathroom

Although small, the bathroom of this historic house is quite luxurious. The white tiles adorn the walls surrounding a small sink and vanity with towel storage. This bathroom is perfect!

Terrace

We finish the visit with the garden of the sheltered courtyard where, during the summer months, you can read a good book, relax and enjoy the sun.

Surprising, isn't it?

Admit that you really didn't expect something like this! I would gladly spend a few days in this peaceful place!

Do you like this cottage?
