A couple of octogenarians get rid of their devices bought sixty years ago.

Living in the city of Exeter in Devon, England, Sydney and Rachel Saunders bought most of these home appliances in the 1950s.

The couple sells a stove, a boiler, a washing machine and a dryer and a dozen other devices.

All devices always work perfectly, at least when they were last used.

For example, Sydney and Rachel Saunders bought the washing machine in 1956 for 100 CAD. And it still works today!

"It was a lot of money at that time" admits Sydney. All the other devices were purchased for less than $100.

"The objects were better at the time, they were stronger and lasting. But of course, the new ones are more sophisticated" says Sydney.

The couple now sells these devices because they have all replaced them over the years.

Sydney and Rachel Saunders hope that the devices will find their place in a museum.

"It would be a shame to lose them. We do not manufacture these kinds of devices today. We do not know how much they are worth but money isn't important" says Rachel.

Brandnew devices are not better!
