What do you think of turning two old barns into a huge house?
Hooked on houses

When I look at real estate ads, there is a type of ad that always make me stop and click on the photos; a barn transformation. I love this kind of project.

The following story is about two old barns located in New York, that were disassembled, moved and reassembled to create a big house in Roxbury, Connecticut.

This house is impressive!

Enjoy!

Preserve the buildings

The company, East Coast Barn Builders was founded in 1960 by Ed Cady, carpenter and contractor. He was one of the first to keep English and Dutch barns, move them and rebuild them into houses.

Entrance

If you like wood, stone, exposed beams, you will love this huge house!

Living room

The fireplace is the heart of this room! Such a warm atmosphere! It helps keep you warm on cold winter days!

Bedrooms

The ad says that the house has only 2 bedrooms, but it could easily have 4! The picture of this room shows you the rustic style of the house and bedrooms; it's big too!

Bathroom

The decor of the bathroom is the same style as the rest of the house. I love the bathroom vanity, don't you?

Kitchen

The kitchen has modern appliances but a rustic look! Do you like this style of kitchen?

Other photos

I imagine myself living in this big house, and you? The only problem; the cleaning of the house!

7 acre lot

The house is located on a lot of more than 7 acres! It's peaceful! I have to admit that this house is huge, but really pretty with its rustic style.

What do you think of the idea of turning old barns into a house? Do you like it? I think this idea is fantastic! Feel free to leave us your thoughts!
