You have to try Martha Stewart's one-pan pasta recipe!

This recipe created quite a conversation online between people loving and hating it. It is the dream of everyone, a dinner ready in less than 30 minutes that requires simple ingredients and only one pot, the dream! You have to try this Martha Stewart's pasta recipe for any busy week day dinner. It is a lifesaver. 

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces linguine (or your favourite pasta) 
  • 12 ounces cherry or grape tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red-pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 2 sprigs basil (plus more for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil  (plus more for serving)
  • Salt & pepper to taste 
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • Parmesan cheese (for serving, optional) 


  1. Put all the ingredients; pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, red-pepper flakes, basil, oil, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and water in a large pot. 
  2. Bring to a boil on high heat. Boil the pasta while stirring frequently using tong. Cook until most of the water has evaporated.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper, garnish with basil and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
