Green homes are very trendy, but are not yet abundant. Tiny-homes and those built from containers, even less. A combination of the 3 is very rare!

But, if you are looking for a second home that is out unique and is very affordable, look at this suggestion:

This container converted into a modern loft will enchant you! Furthermore, the furniture is included!

For only $ 33,000 Canadian dollars, you can buy this loft and move it wherever you see fit. Why not near a lake or a river? Or, on the large piece of land of a loved one, for shared inter-generational but non-intrusive daily life!

This shipping container, which was once used for transporting goods across oceans, has been transformed into an environmentally friendly 3 season (therefore not isolated) dwelling. This project is signed by Maryse Mainville from the company M.Construk.Ner. This is an example of a first Quebec concept marine container converted into an ecological habitat.

The tiny-house is 40 x 8 feet (approx 131 x 26 m) and is equipped with a rainwater harvesting barrel, instantaneous air duct heater and sliding windows, making it comfortable enough to use as a second home. Another great feature: the flat roof can double as a rooftop patio!

On an even more eco-friendly note: the magnificent minimalist tiny home comes equipped with a magnificent kitchen with counter-tops made of recycled wood that commands the home where all the furniture and accessories have also been salvaged from secondhand stores.

This is THE ideal Green cottage! Taking care of the environment without compromising on style!
