Unless you have a granite countertop or marble countertop, most kitchen countertops will look boring and used after only a few years, especially melamine countertops.
Knowing that the replacement of his kitchen counter can cost a lot of money, this father decided to make one by himself.
What he wanted was a beautiful and durable surface that would would fit perfectly with the existing layout.
It was then that he had the idea to make a countertop in concrete.
The first step of his project was to make wooden molds, depending on the dimensions of the existing countertop.
After preparing the concrete mix, it was time to fill the molds halfway.
For increased strength, wire mesh has been inserted halfway.
He then filled the molds to the top.
Once dry, each piece has been lightly sanded to obtain a flawless finish.
In the end ... it's absolutely beautiful! We are fans of this practically indestructible modern countertop!
Imagine the savings you'll make :)
