Before getting busy with all the Halloween crafts with our kids, there's a bit of time to do some fall ones first. But, what can you do in the fall? Well here are two great ideas! A scarecrow and a turkey!

Two super simple projects made with Popsicle sticks! A unique idea! And yet, kids love to make crafts using coffee stir sticks! So take out the box of sticks and paint or markers; and see what you can do!

Here are 2 fall crafts to make with your kids using coffee sticks:

What you'll need:

-Coffee stir sticks

-White school glue

-Markers

or

-Gouache (poster paint)

or

-acrylic craft paint

-Paint brushes

Sharpie-style black permanent marker pen

-Construction paper: Orange, yellow and white

-Scissors

How to:

To make the scarecrow:

1) Start by sticking a coffee stick diagonally on 6 sticks glued next to each other on a piece of construction paper of the same size

2) Then use markers, or gouache, or craft acrylic paint to paint the hat in brown and face in white

3) Once the paint dries, use the Sharpie black permanent marker to draw the scarecrow's smile

4) Cut out the eyes in white cardboard paper and color the corners in black, cut the hair in yellow construction paper and and the nose in orange construction paper

5) Then glue the pieces to the respective places using the white school glue

To make the turkey:

1) Start by sticking 3 coffee sticks on a piece of construction paper of the same size

2) Then use markers, or gouache, or craft acrylic paint to paint the turkey's body in brown and turkey's wings in yellow, red, and orange

3) Cut out the eyes in white cardboard paper and color the corners in black, cut the hair in yellow construction paper and and the nose in orange construction paper

4) Then glue the pieces to the respective places using the white school glue
