A bit like cabbage rolls, but easier to cook!
1 pound ground beef or veal
A little butter and oil
1 chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. Beef broth
1/4 tsp. celery powder
1/4 c. garlic powder
1 cup homemade or commercial spaghetti sauce
1 cup water or tomato juice
3 tbsp. Precooked rice (Minute Rice)
3 1/2 cups thinly sliced cabbage
Salt and pepper
1 cup mozzarella cheese
In a frying pan, heat oil and sauté onions, garlic and meat. Remove excess fat.
Add salt, pepper, garlic and celery powder, beef broth and worcestershire sauce. Stir
Add the spaghetti sauce, the water cup and the rice. Mix well
In a lightly buttered 8-inch square dish, spread half the cabbage.
Add a layer of the meat mixture and finish with the remaining cabbage.
Cover with cooking foil and bake at 325 ° F for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, lift aluminum foil after 35 minutes and weigh on cabbage slightly. Replace paper and continue cooking.
Remove the foil and sprinkle cheese on the top, return to the oven, not covered, about 12 minutes.
