We have all been there: we are ready to cook our favorite biscuits and we realize that our brown sugar has become a rock. We offer you 5 simple methods that should do the job, depending on how quickly you need it!

Microwave oven

Place the brown sugar in a microwaveable bowl and place a wet paper towel on top. Cover and heat in 10-second slices, until brown sugar is softened.

Conventional oven

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Place the brown sugar in a bowl, heat for a few minutes.

Place a slice of fresh bread in the container of your brown sugar. The next day the sugar will have absorbed enough moisture and have softened. Remove the bread.

Slice of apple or marshmallow

We use the same method as with bread!

Terra Cotta

Soak a piece of terracotta in water for about 20 minutes, then place it in the container with brown sugar. The next day, the brown sugar will be fresh.
