Here is an original recipe of pizza: the big difference is that this pizza does not have dough but boiled potatoes!

This pizza "dough" is gluten-free and sugar-free, so it is perfect for those struggling with food intolerances: just choose the toppings according to allergies.

Ingredients

  • 8 boiled potatoes with peel
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60g of cheese: mascarpone, mozzarella, etc.
  • 25g grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salami, pepperoni or other sliced sausage
  • ½ onion, cut into strips
  • ½ tablespoon of rosemary

How to do

Grease a round pan and place the boiled potatoes in the bottom. You can also simply use a baking sheet and parchment paper, if you want.

Crush them with a potato masher or a fork to cover the entire bottom, and brush them with the melted butter.

Add a some salt (if desired) and bake at 375 °F for 30 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven and add the toppings: cheese, sausage, rosemary and parmesan.

Increase the oven temperature to 425 °F and cook for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.

The result is a crispy "dough"!

It is also possible to make a pizza with sweet potatoes! 

A wonderful idea for evenings when you get everything you need except pizza dough!
