When you cook your meat, poultry and fish on the BBQ, do you get to broil everything without sticking to the BBQ?
That's what I thought! I hate it when I lose half of what I cook because it's all stuck on it. So I'm interested in having a tip to prevent food from sticking without having to use a cooking spray. (That's because it scares me to use an aerosol next to a bright flame!)
I finally found the solution to avoid sticking: It is necessary to rub half a potato on the grill.
Start by turning on your BBQ and when it's hot, just before putting your pieces of meat, place half a potato over the entire surface.
The starch of the potato will deposit a non-stick film on your grill and the food will not stick as much!
Watch the demonstration in this very short video to convince you!
Commenting on the video, several people wrote that an onion cut in half had the same non-stick effect as well as transferring a good taste of onions to meats and poultry.
