There are things we want to hide in our house, like electric wires, for example. This man wanted to hide the hose and the electric sockets of his washing machine, but he did not want to invest a lot of money. He found a cheap, fast and really pretty solution! He made a removable wooden backsplash. See how he did it ...
He used :
- A wooden pallet
- A 1/2 inch sheet of plywood
- Hot glue
- Oil for wood
He has :
Sawn pieces wood of different sizes (9, 6 and 3 inches).
Cut each piece, took care to make thicker ones (this will give a stone effect).
Sanded his pieces of wood to make them smooth.
Added a piece of extra plywood to his board, on one side, to push the bracket to the wall.
Using his hot glue gun, he began to stick his pieces by alternating the different sizes.
Cut a few pieces in order to cover the side.
He then coated the wood with the oil.
He went to his laundry room to hide this:
And here's the result :
For almost nothing, he has beautifully decorated his room by hiding ugly electric sockets. I find this project awesome and I will copy it this weekend ...
