When you think about cleaning your house, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Not very likely your dishwasher! This is not the first thing you think about cleaning, of course! But this device that cleans your plates and pots must also be washed sometimes ... It also needs a little love and care from time to time!

Cleaning your dishwasher does not only make this appliance more efficient, it also extends the life of your machine. In addition, once you have cleaned it, you will probably be surprised by its new appearance on the inside.

Here are the 3 easy steps to follow (to be repeated about every 6 months)

Step 1

Take out the lower basket and make sure the filter area of the dishwasher is free of debris and other dirt.

Step 2

1. Place a dishwasher-safe measuring cup (or other container) in the upper rack.

2. Fill the cup with white vinegar and run the empty dishwasher (except the cup) at the warmest setting.

3. After the vinegar cycle, sprinkle a handful of baking soda at the bottom of the dishwasher.

4. Start another short cycle at high temperature.
